Salon Bois Energie 2016: Trade fair appearance in Nancy, France
by Robert Amann
We attended the Salon Bois Energie trade fair, which took place between 15.03.2016 and 17.03.2016 in Nancy, France, for the very first time this year. Represented by our French partner, R.M.Consulting, we presented the advantages of our screening technology to the interested industry visitors.
Trade fair focus: Processing biomass
The main focus of the trade fair was the processing of various bio-fuels for the production of electricity and heat.A particularly important element of the exhibition was the manufacture (chipping, screening, drying) and the energy use (incineration) of renewable raw materials (biomass, wood chips, waste wood).
The use of biomass in order to generate energy offers numerous advantages. For instance, the use of biofuels protects fossil fuels which, in turn, leads to the emission of less carbon dioxide.
Demonstration machine impressed the audience
In addition to products from other manufacturers from various sectors, the S&F screening machine impressed the trade fair visitors in the outdoor zone.
The advantages of screening raw materials such as wood chippings are obvious: Gyratory screens are able to separate items such as wood chips or other materials into various size classes. The separation of excess lengths and fine particles (sand and dust) ensures better material properties and quality. The wood chippings dry faster thanks to the improved homogeneity of the material and warehouse losses are also reduced. Dust emissions are also reduced during incineration as no fine particles are in the fuel.
We are satisfied with how the trade fair went and we are looking forward to the next wood fuel trade fair in France which is scheduled to take place in 2018.
